MTR works with the natural healing and therapeutic power of horses to improve the quality of life of children, adults and veterans with special needs. Our accredited, high-quality programs open new pathways of healing for children and adults with a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional challenges. In addition, we provide a community of support for parents who often feel isolated when dealing with illness or disability.
With the guidance of a certified therapist, and the healing and therapeutic power of horses, MTR riders improve their balance, strength, muscle tone, self-image, and confidence. We serve all ages though Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy (aka Hippotherapy), Adaptive (Therapeutic) Riding and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, and Equine Learning (unmounted).
