The Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) is a Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station (MOAES) at University of Missouri College of Agriculture Food and Natural Resources. The NM-REEC is composed of three properties, each focused on research and educational needs of the local community. The Lee Greenley Jr. Memorial Research Farm (1,390 acres) near Novelty, Missouri, consists of three individual farms including Lee Greenley Jr. Memorial Research Farm, Ross Jones Farm, and Grace Greenley Farm. This property focuses on research associated primarily with crop and soil management practices as well as reducing the input costs to produce quality beef. Cornett Research Farm (1,200 acres) is located near Linneus, Missouri, and is dedicated to conducting research the development and evaluation of forage/beef systems for all classes of beef cattle. The Thompson Research Farm (1,600 acres) can be found near Spickard, Missouri, and focuses on reproductive performance, artificial insemination and heifer development in beef cattle. Visitors are always welcome to visit the NM-REEC, whether you are attending a tour, meeting, wedding, or just passing through.
