Melbourne University Environmental Engineers' Society (MUEES)

The Melbourne University Environmental Engineers' Society (MUEES) is the official faculty-based student-run body for Environmental Engineering students at the University of Melbourne. MUEES is affiliated with the University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU). Established in 2014 to foster a sense of belonging and connection amongst Environmental Engineering students, the club has maintained this sense of community through various social events including Networking Nights, Cocktail Nights as well as Trivia’s and BBQs. MUEES also contributes to the career and academic needs of students through organising annual Industry Events and electing student representatives to provide input at Student-Staff Liaison Committee Meetings. As MUEES is a not-for-profit organisation, to complement the income from student membership fees and UMSU grants, sponsorship is the main source of income and allows the club to run social and informational events throughout the year. Sponsors are invited to attend the Networking Nights to showcase opportunities for students, meet talent, and promote their company.
