Germany’s most easterly located deepwater port Mukran Port offers everything that makes a modern multifunctional port on a total area of almost 430 hectares with ferry, railway, multipurpose and offshore terminals as well as extensive production and storage areas. Located on Rügen - Germany's largest island - Mukran Port benefits in several ways from its exposed location. The port has the shortest sea connections to Sweden, Denmark (Bornholm), Finland and the Baltic States. SEA PORT Mukran Port has purposefully used well established transport connections to the hinterland and the close proximity to Scandinavia, CIS, Finland and the Baltic states for developing the site as a major hub for international passenger and freight traffic. DRY PORT As an industrial and large-scale commercial location, we have free, fully developed land in the immediate vicinity of the quay edge. Located right on the Baltic Sea, we are a trimodal hub for the global flows of goods. You can reach markets in Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Finland and CIS just as quickly as the economic centres of Hamburg, Duisburg, Cologne and Rotterdam from here. RAIL PORT The company offers shunting operation, wagon inspection as well as customs clearance operations. Port and rail handling is optimally integrated with port and railway operations. The Baltic Port Rail Mukran GmbH (BPRM) is member of the international railway committee CIT, a network of around 200 railway and shipping companies operating cross-border passenger and / or freight transport. OFFSHORE WIND Mukran Port offers ideal nautical and sea-geographical conditions to serve as a base port for the offshore wind industry. There are numerous projects within a maximum radius of 30 nautical miles that have been approved or are currently going through the approval process.
