MIS is an Ethiopian based non-governmental organization established in 2010 and reregistered in 2242 as Charity Society Organization in accordance with civil society’s organization 1113/2019. MIS has a Vision to Aspires to see poor, disadvantaged and hard to reach communities living in a safe and decent condition. MIS Works to improve the lives of disadvantaged moMIS works to improve the lives of disadvantaged mothers and children, through increasing their access to health and education services, supporting income generation and improving their natural environment, using an integrated and participatory community based approach.
For the last years, MIS has been serving targeted in need communities in Oromia, Benishangul Gumuz regional states and Addis Ababa city administration. In all its implementation areas, MIS collaborates closely with the necessary government offices at all levels, including the federal, regional, woreda, and kebele levels, in all of its implementation areas.
MIS is an organization that operates at the grassroots level since the targeted communities are involved in project development, implementation, and evaluation in order to ensure the sustainability of the projects completed.The projects are implemented using funds granted from different donors like MCMDO/SIDA, One Moon Ethiopia, French Embassy, CSSP2, World Bank, USAID through IOM/RRF different embassies and members. MIS has successfully implemented shelter construction and livelihoods project in collaboration with UNHCR and Administration for Refugees and Returnees Affairs (ARRA) in Benishangul Gumuz Region, Tsore refugee camp serving south Sudanese. MIS also implemented quality education project which integrates school WaSH and girls‟ education which was funded by French Embassy. The project's aim was to enhance the health and academic performance of school-aged children and, consequently, that of their families by lowering the prevalence of diseases connected to water and sanitation.
