MULTI-SPACE is a distributed platform leveraging the expertise of several laboratories across the Heidelberg-Mannheim campus. It provides spatially-resolved omics technologies—focusing on spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, and spatial metabolomics—alongside advanced imaging tools and data analysis. We count nine technologies, including commercial and home-brew developments. By supporting in-depth molecular tissue analysis, MULTI-SPACE addresses cellular diversity in health, disease, drug response, and basic research areas, giving scientists and partner academic institutions from the Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and methods for pioneering discoveries and technology advancement.
