Opened in 1977
Multitrade first opened on a part-time basis in 1977. Due to rapid growth, we opened our doors full-time in 1979. We have been serving the public in Malta ever since, with pride and passion.
Tellure Rota, wheels and castors, were bought into Malta in 1977. We are proud of the increased profile of these products. We started by educating the local market about the choice of the correct wheels and castors, according to their application.
Multitrade leads the way for the development of the production of aluminium doors and windows in Malta, during the last two decades of the last century when access to aluminium and knowledge required for the production was limited.
Being within the aluminium trade, and having a distribution system for hardware items, we decided to distribute ladders for a local producer. However, we soon opted to start the production of ladders ourselves, and distribute our own production. This was at a time when import licences were required for most of the items which were locally produced, therefore we ended up as a manufacturer, and the only distributor of ladders in Malta.
At a later stage, import licences for ladders were no longer required. We, therefore, decided to start importing high-quality ladders that were EN-131 certified, and those which carried other EU and international certifications, which demonstrates the quality and safety of our ladders.
We specialise in sectors such as wheels and castors, light roofing, aluminium accessories, gate accessories, wrought iron, ladders and scaffolding, letterboxes and many others. The quality of our products is very important to us, as this ensures that our customers are receiving maximum benefit from our supplies.
