Mumbai FinTech Hub (MFH) is an initiative by the Government of Maharashtra to execute Maharashtra state's FinTech policy. The government of Maharashtra is the first state in India to create a FinTech policy (announced February 2018) to nurture the FinTech ecosystem with a vision to make Mumbai a global FinTech hub.
The policy addresses five key pillars for supporting the FinTech ecosystem: providing access to capital, promoting open innovation, catalysing ecosystem, global market access, and access to FinTech-ready talent pool.
Based in Mumbai, since its inception, MFH has been implementing various initiatives for strengthening the above-mentioned pillars, some of which include, establishing a Fintech registry, an API sandbox, a multi-partner accelerator cohort, government POC program, government grant/reimbursement scheme, Global Market Access program, Fintech education Platform, Fintech Investment & Deals platform and much more.
