Mumpara Group

Mumpara Group is a nationwide family of nonprofit and profit-for-purpose companies that all share the same goal: To empower Indigenous families to holistically break the cycle of generational welfare dependency. We work together to genuinely help Indigenous communities and forge strong connections between those communities and the greater Australian community. We do this by bringing Indigenous peoples, recruitment agencies, training organisations, civil contracting groups, and community leaders together to nurture Indigenous careers, personal growth, and prosperity. Mumpara in the TIWI language means new beginnings or first time. The meaning behind our name speaks to our nationwide family, our purpose of empowering Indigenous people to achieve, and our mission to empower 5,000 Indigenous people Australia-wide to holistically break the cycle of generational welfare dependency by 2030. The Mumpara Board of Directors comprises of five business owners, 4 of which are Indigenous business owners. Our Board of Directors encompasses an extensive skill set from Project Management and Asset maintenance through to Indigenous Lore and cultural practices and represents the varied Traditional owner groups that we work with.
