About Mundus

Mundus Institute is a leading global provider of educational software, textbooks, testing aids, and teaching tools, devoted primarily to the aviation, travel, and hospitality fields. The business was formed in 1975 as Mundus Education Division, a subsidiary of Mundus Enterprises, Inc., the parent company of Mundus Travel (presently Carlson-Wagon Lits). By 1990, Mundus had licensed 92 tourism and hospitality education centers throughout the United States. In 1988, Mundus Education Division became a solely owned subsidiary of Franchise Associates International, Inc., operating as Mundus Colleges. The business began expanding globally in 1990, in affiliation with The Galileo Company, based in Swindon, U.K., (presently Travelport, a subsidiary of Blackstone Group). Mundus recruited and continues to service licensed distributors throughout Europe, Africa, the Pacific Rim, Asia, and South America, with a marketing reach spanning 83 countries on five continents. Mundus software, textbooks, and teaching materials. Mundus partnered with Glencoe/MacMillan in 1989 to publish college textbooks. Mundus educational products are distributed electronically via the internet to licensed distributors in Europe, Africa, and Australia.
