Munnings Law is a small Aboriginal owned law firm founded by Adam Munnings LLB, MBA, an Anishnabe from Curve Lake First Nation. Munnings Law wishes to develop a firm culture based on Anishnabe values of: wisdom, love; respect; bravery; honesty; humility; and truth. These values are also know as the seven grandfathers, and create a culture based on striving to be a good person. In addition to these teachings I wish encircle my practice with seven generation thinking; decision making based on the effects today's decisions will have on future generations. The main areas of practice for Munnings Law are Aboriginal, Business, and Non-profit Law; Indigenous Business – Seven Generation Thinking.
Munnings Law has acted as general counsel for Aboriginal communities and their organizations in a wide range of matters, including economic development, specific claims, reserve land management, charity, housing, health employment, governance, accommodation of Aboriginal rights, and negotiations, and benefit agreements with government and industry.
Munnings Law also provides legal services to Businesses and Non-Profits including: incorporation of business entities, partnerships, joint ventures, commercial and residential developments, commercial leasing, employment, and the development of articles, constitutions and bylaws, business charters and charities.
Although Munnings Law specializes in working with Aboriginal groups and organizations, we are happy to provide services to all Businesses, Non-Profits and other organizations.
