Mustang Capital (formerly Algorithm Trading Club) is a private student interest group that manages a $40,000 investment fund. The fund’s objective is to produce superior risk-adjusted returns while exposing Western/Ivey students to a wide variety of investment and trading strategies across several asset classes.
Mustang Capital is organized into two broad groups: Investment Verticals and Academy. Investment Verticals focus on a unique product/strategy and are led by experienced professionals with specific expertise in their respective vertical. At present, Mustang Capital has the following Investment Verticals: Event-Driven, Global Macro, Quantitative, and Arbitrage. Academy is a training program for first-year students who do not have a background in finance. The program exposes the students to all of the Investment Verticals, and gives participants the fundamental tools required to succeed in the area of their choosing.
