I was a part of a small team dedicated to the management of RBC credit card systems for internal RBC businesses. Along with multiple small projects (ex. data validation), I worked on two main projects.1. Automating the load of data to our Mongo Database - via a Node.js script, I built a program to save data from csv files to our database, thus saving hours of developer work manually doing this process.2. For a specific client, ensuring their own databases were kept up to date with ours via a Java SPRING service. This compared and loaded data between MongoDB and IBM DB2.

Selected as 1 of 33 out of over 1,300 applicants, I worked as a software developer in a team environment with the goal of creating backend API's in order to update compliance regulations for an RBC service. This project exposed me to multiple new frameworks (ex. Jenkins, Mockito), concepts (ex. Unit Tests), and a view to understanding the breadth of tech’s role across an organization.
