Mustimuhw Information Solutions is an award-winning Indigenous software provider and is 100% owned and governed by Cowichan Tribes on Vancouver Island in B.C. Mustimuhw means ‘all of the people’ and it was chosen by Cowichan Tribes elders as the name for our digital health information system and the company itself. Led by the wisdom of our elders, we have helped build stronger, more resilient First Nations communities across Canada since 1990. Our business and our technology have embraced the integration of the lessons of traditional Indigenous health and wellness into powerful, leading-edge platforms. We seek to harness the power of machine learning to transform data into action and offer an active, dynamic information ecosystem that mirrors and measures the strengths of the people and Nations we serve. We are currently developing the most advanced Indigenous information system ever created –- a Nation-based digital ecosystem that includes modules like Health & Wellness, Child & Family Services, Housing, Fire Safety Monitoring, Education, Social Services -– all inspired and built around the use of holistic Social Determinants of Health.
