Muto Company was founded in 1920 and it early stood out in the production of candles. Thanks to the passion and spirit of initiative of its founder, Nicola Muto, the company, which nowadays is lead by the third generation, is among the first wax industries in Italy and Europe. In addition to the classic candles, Muto 1920 produces a wide range of products, such as perfumed candles, dinner candles, pillar candles, liturgical candles , citronelle and tea-lights. Available in various sizes, colors, and types of packaging, Muto candles are produced with natural flavors and cotton wicks, like as the citronella, made by natural essence and giava's oil. The other core business of Muto' 1920 consists in processing, storage and distribution of paraffins, mineral waxes and petrolatum, delivered, according to the needs of the customers, in liquid or solid form, slabs or powder. Muto's paraffins, recognized by the brand IWM (Italian Wax Mute), are raw materials used for the chemical industries and several applications. In addition to the production of candles, they are employed in the field of agriculture, apicolture, food and in cosmetics, inks, paints, tires, glues, adhesives, hotmelts, packaging, wavyb paper and cardboard. It has been always tenderhearted in the issues related to sustainability, for this it has focused its activities on energy conservation. In line with this direction, the company has installed a photovoltaic system for the use of renewable energy.
