MVHS Principal's Tech Internship

MVHS Principal’s Tech Internship Program is a student-led and student-managed organization at Mountain View High School in Mountain View, California. Established in August of 2024, while few students have earned Foothill Community College credits, many others have volunteered their time to provide technology support for faculty, students, and parents. With 20-30 rotating members, we are interested in and focused on helping the Spartan community. Some of the services that we provide are: • Basic tech orientation for newly arrived students • Small group workshop for faculty and parents • One-on-one in-person and online tech support • Creation of tutorials for all available tools at Mountain View High School • Data input and other technical assistance to the administration • Responding to community requests for multimedia creation • Other technology-related services Major projects that we are working on are: • Digital Well-being Challenge hosted by the US Department of Education Office of Education Technology • Assisting our principal on her Google Innovator Projects We have also participated in: • 2-part Webinar Series on #AI hosted by the California Department of Education • Presentation at the Challenge Team, a local civic organization We plan to attend: • The AI Show at the ASU+GSV • ASU+GSV Summit • Common Sense Media Summit We are always happy to form community and corporate partnerships to enhance our experiences and knowledge base.
