My Mum Made It is a Sustainably focussed streetwear clothing label that keeps innovation & comfort on a very balanced scale as well as the commitment to continuously discover ways to reduce environmental impact at every stage. The founder and self taught Australian designer, Nyree Leckenby began the label’s foundations inside her Brisbane studio apartment back in 2013 by hand sewing dresses that she made out of thrifted curtains and bed sheets. She decided to call her label ‘My Mum Made It’ so that when people asked where she got her unique dresses from, she could reply with “my mum made it”. The label has since come far from the days where once was just a hobby and evolved seriously into the influential streetwear brand that is well respected and beloved by top models, celebrities and fashion enthusiasts globally.
