The Biomedical Society of Zambia (BMSZ) is a non-profit organization of medical laboratory professionals legally registered with the Registrar of Societies (Certificate No. ORS/102/35/3854) in accordance with the Societies Act No. 119 of the Laws of Zambia. Since our founding in 1968, BMSZ has been dedicated to protecting patients and the public by upholding the highest standards in laboratory medicine. We achieve this by collaborating with the Ministry of Health in laboratory programme implementation, advocating for robust laboratory standards and regulations, providing mentorship to laboratory professionals, offering recognised continuous professional development opportunities, and hosting impactful scientific conferences and seminars.
