We’ve had close relatives and friends who have felt the pain and emotional turmoil that comes with having a loved one progressively or suddenly disabled. Their lives change as their once strong and independent relation now have to rely on them to do things they have done independently all of their lives. It was through helping a friend who was frustrated looking for some products to help her mother feel independent again that we first became aware of the incredible number of products available for people living with disabilities.
Having discovered some fantastic inventions at Naidex in 2017 and subsequent research, some of them very simple and inexpensive, the spark to create Mysokoni was born. Why should anyone struggle to find the right product that could have a positive physical and emotional impact on a loved one?
At Naidex this year we were surprised by the number of people who visited our booth asking where to find simple items from women in wheelchairs looking for fashionable clothing, mothers looking for dining aids for their children and occupational therapist looking for a reliable place to send their clients.
Mysokoni is a new marketplace that specialises in accessibility products. Our goal is to bring the majority of accessible products into a single place, from the newest to the old reliable products. More importantly, we want to create a community where information and communications are at the forefront.
