TheCayman Islands Monetary Authority(CIMA) has introduced changes to the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) application form on the REEFS portal, effective 8 July 2025.
These updates to APP 101-84-05 aim to streamline the process for registration, licensing, and waivers—bringing improved clarity and efficiency to the application journey.
The changes include:
- Additional questions for better alignment with updated legislation
- Clearer documentation requirements
- A new Completion Guide to support applicants
Key Reminders:
- New applications must use the updated form as of 8 July.
- A guide for use is available on the REEFS platform
- Applications already in progress may still be completed using the existing version.
