NACOPHA is the umbrella organization established by People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLHIV) to serve as the Apex body and ultimate voice to advocate for issues and concerns of the PLHIV in Tanzania. It was founded in August 2003 and was registered in September 2005.
Currently the Council works with more than 13 PLHIV networks and 167 PLHIV districts clusters country wide. Each District council consists of one PLHIV cluster which supports Individual PLHIV and support groups in one Local district councill.
