At Nanomechanics Lab, we specialize in single-molecule force spectroscopy, cell mechanics, and ligand-receptor interactions using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). Our research focuses on understanding the mechanical behavior of biomolecules and cells at nanometer precision.
But we don’t just use AFM—we build it. By developing custom AFM systems with interferometer-based detection, we push the limits of sensitivity beyond what commercial AFMs can offer. This allows us to capture ultra-precise measurements, revealing molecular interactions that would otherwise go unnoticed.
