The laboratory of Nanotechnology and Computational Chemistry (NANOQC) at the Federal Technological University of Paraná in Londrina is focused on the materials synthesis and devices for applications in catalysis, photovoltaic, optoelectronic, sensors, environment and medicine. By using a combining of experimental and theoretical approaches, the aim of our group is to the rational designer of novel functional materials with improved their properties for a wide variety of technological applications, and based on an understanding of structure-properties relationship at the nanoscale. Hence, the NANOQC to employ different lines of scientific research also maintains collaboration with several experimental and theoretical groups. The research activities carried out in our group, in principle, offer new possibilities to acquire fundamental and innovative knowledge capable of accelerating the discovery process of novel functional materials, which is crucial for its design and application.
