About George Demeter Unit - National Association of Parliamentarians

(Please email p.senopoulos@comcast.net if you're interested in joining/learning more!) Throughout the United States and across the world, Dr. George Demeter has been highly esteemed for his valuable contributions to a better understanding of parliamentary rules and their application in world-wide deliberative bodies. His textbook, “Demeter’s Manual of Parliamentary Law and Procedure”, has contributed greatly to the study of parliamentarian rule and procedure. The George Demeter Unit of NAP is the only unit in Massachusetts for the National Association of Parliamentarians. The Unit’s goals are to: • courage its members to learn the principles and practice of democratic decision-making; • help teachers instruct people of all ages—from public and private school students to active professionals to retirees involved in their communities—in parliamentary procedure; • promote collaboration and professional development among parliamentarians; and • provide widely recognized, authoritative accreditation of parliamentarians
