NARS offers educational training to those seeking a job in the railroad industry. Learn in laboratory conditions and simulated situations that duplicate on-the-job requirements. Our training facility spans 130,000 square feet of office, classroom, laboratory and multimedia studio space. You'll learn from former railroad conductors who have met industry and Higher Learning Commission standards. Railroad jobs are not guaranteed, but at the end of NARS training, you may earn an interview with BNSF or other railroad employers. NARS is strictly an educational opportunity.
Conductor classes are offered both online or 6 week face-to-face sessions. The online option takes 5 months to complete and requires a 7 day hands-on field training in Overland Park, Kansas.
Locomotive Mechanical courses are semester long and offered at Spoon River College in Canton, Illinois.
