About Student Leadership Council at NASCENT Research Center
The mission of the Student Leadership Council (SLC) at the NASCENT Nanosystems Engineering Research Center (ERC) is to foster interdisciplinary interactions between students, faculty, and industry professionals, participate in outreach efforts to the larger community, and act as an interface between students, the NASCENT leadership, and National Science Foundation (NSF). NASCENT ERC was funded in September, 2012. The center develops high throughput, high yield and versatile nano-manufacturing systems to take nano-science discoveries from the lab to the marketplace. The Center is led by The University of Texas at Austin and includes two partner institutions—University of California at Berkeley and University of New Mexico. Also included are Seoul National University in South Korea and Indian Institute of Science.
