Founded in 1962, National Intelligence University (NIU) is the Intelligence Community's sole, federal degree-granting institution. NIU's main campus is located in Bethesda, Maryland, with academic centers located around the world.
NIU is the only regionally accredited university in the U.S. that enables all of its students to engage in original research at a classified level. NIU offers accredited graduate and undergraduate degrees, as well as a graduate certificate and continuing education opportunities.
The academic programs are offered in a variety of accessible formats and available to federal government employees and military personnel with TS//SCI clearances.
