About National Senior Classical League
The National Senior Classical League is an organization founded to promote classical studies. We are the college-level affiliate of the National Junior Classical League, a similarly chartered high school organization. The parent organization of both the NJCL and the NSCL is the American Classical League, a professional society of Latin and Greek scholars. On August 9, 1960 the Senior Classical League was formed by twenty "ambassadors" at the NJCL Convention held at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Since its founding, the SCL has acted as an outlet for engagement in the Classics community for those beyond their high school years. At the NJCL Convention, SCL has taken on the role of publishing the Convention Ear, managing Olympika and producing That's Entertainment. Learn more about the history of the Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Indispensable SCL by visiting our website, nscl.org. This page is currently under the charge of the NSCL Website Committee.
