Native Harvests creates affordable, nutritious, local cereal powders by naturally fortifying Uganda's staples with underutilized foods, fruits and vegetables to nourish children from age of 6 months to 5 years. Our mission is to contribute to eradicating malnutrition in Uganda through utilization of underutilized local crops to provide nutritious products based off Uganda’s “Native Harvests”.
By fortifying Uganda’s staples with locally sourced superfoods, we believe that we can bridge the gap between nutrition and affordability in Uganda and Africa as a whole.
Our products are designed to curb nutrition gaps with a focus on both macro and micro nutrients but also curbing food waste by utilizing nutritious underutilized local ingredients that would otherwise easily go to waste.
Our products are all natural without any additives, require cooking within 5 minutes and utilize 100% local ingredients which empower caretakers to nourish their children using locally available cereal options giving a smooth transition into family meals.
