There is a nature funding gap of roughly $830 billion annually that must be bridged in order to combat the biodiversity crisis. We're on a mission to make Nature an asset class, in order to enable investment at scale. The Nature 2 Commitment is a commitment in principle by UHNW individuals and institutions to allocate 2% of their managed assets to nature-positive investments. This commitment will launch a wider movement to regenerate nature globally following a three-step plan: 1) The Nature2 Commitment: By taking the Nature2 commitment investors can powerfully signal to the market the importance of, and their personal commitment to, bridging the nature finance gap. Nature2 will connect committed investors to investment opportunities and grow the range of investable opportunities. 2) Build a Movement: Nature2 will use the attention generated from the commitment by UNHWs and institutions to educate both investors and the general public. Nature2 will use this to create wider awareness of the biodiversity crisis and how changing corporate behavior and policy can help regenerate nature. 3) Drive Policy Change: With private capital bridging the nature financing gap and the support of a movement uniting investors and the general public, Nature2 and its extensive network of partners will drive policy changes to further accelerate the regeneration of nature.
