The 21st century has already revealed itself to be a very different ride than its predecessor; the exponential nature of myriad shifts and disruptions promising only to accelerate. In that the fundamental "OS of Humanity" is badly broken and in need of a redesign and reboot, it is incumbent upon all of us to engage in work that not only provides genuine value (harming no one in the process...) but, to simultaneously provide those too young to have benefited from the anomalous growth and economic conditions of the latter 20th century, with tools to confront the problematic legacy we will leave behind. Navigating21 was formed in 2004 in response to the burgeoning demand for multi-disciplinary, technology-centric consulting, project-oriented solutions and strategy, for Business Development, Professional Relationship Facilitation, Marketing, PR and product development. Initially formed in response to technological disruptions in the entertainment, content creation, production and distribution sectors, the group's value focus shifted through the renewable energy sector of the "early aughts", definitively landing in the dynamic and multi-faceted world of software-mediated and hardware-based automation processes, Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing/advanced materials, robotics and intelligent systems. In 2014, we expanded our focus to include the provision of interdisciplinary solutions to the education sector. As project-oriented problem solvers from diverse technology and education sector backgrounds (most of whom are also parents of younger children), we felt we could provide unique value in addressing the ubiquitous challenges facing generalist primary/elementary educators, as they are increasingly burdened with an overwhelming and unrealistic set of demands to help our kids navigate the complexities of living with and through technology, in the 21st century.
