National Association of Women in Construction - Ventura & Oxnard, CA

The National Association of Women in Construction, NAWIC, is a 501c3 organization that works to unite, empower and educate Women in Construction. For more than 55 years, NAWIC has helped women take advantage of the opportunities in construction. NAWIC offers a variety of opportunities — large and small. The Ventura/Oxnard, CA Chapter was chartered in 1967 with 37 members. Our membership fluctuates between 30-40 members, depending on the strength of our industry. Our members are Project Managers, Field Engineers, Office Managers, Accounting Professionals, Bonding Professionals and Construction Technology Professionals. Our chapter members have held three Regional and two National Offices, including National President in 1997-1998. Through out the year we organize, fundraise and sponsor various events - from Construction Camps for High School Girls to Casino Nights, to Food Drives and Social Mixers. We hold a regular General Meeting most months that we are not also throwing an event. We would love you join us for an evening of learning, networking and fun and would be overjoyed to have your support in the form of volunteering or sponsorship/donations of one of our many, important events.
