NBM Railways is a group of short-line railways (New Brunswick Southern, Eastern Maine, and Maine Northern) proudly operating since 1995. Headquartered in Saint John, NB, with operations in Mattawamkeag, ME and Oakfield, ME, we maintain and operate over 550 miles/885km of rail in New Brunswick and Maine. Through partnerships with other major railways, NBM Railways cargo is delivered to destinations across North America, providing railway transport and truck/rail reload operations to industries that include construction lumber, pulp, paper, chips & log, chemicals, consumer products, automobiles, bulk & liquid products. With an extensive and diverse fleet, and a reputation for excellence, safety and reliability, NBM Railways is well equipped to meet customer needs ranging from freight transportation and distribution to maintenance and mechanical services.
