The Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry, and Science (TECS) offers
BS degrees in Polymer and Color Chemistry, ABET-accredited Textile
Engineering, and Textile Technology as well as several minors. We have M.S. Degrees in Textile Engineering and Chemistry including online options as well as Ph.D.s in Fiber & Polymer Science and Textile Technology Management.
The department is uniquely interdisciplinary, dedicated to providing fundamental education in chemistry, engineering, and technology principles related to fibers, fiber-based materials, and fabrics within areas ranging from polymer and color science, biomedical textiles, composites, electronically integrated textiles (e-textiles), sustainability to process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) and design engineering principles.
