NCA Dynamics was founded in 2007 by Cristian Nicola with the goal of providing implementation, development and upgrade services to Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) clients directly or through NAV resellers. But Cristian’s love affair with NAV began back in 1998, when he trained as a programmer at the Navision headquarters in Denmark. There, he also worked on the Navision support team and learned the ins and outs of financials applications and database customizations.
In those early days, Navision was still primarily an accounting software solution used in Scandinavia and a few other European countries. Indeed, Navision didn’t make great strides “across the pond” until 2002 when the company was acquired by Microsoft and became part of the Microsoft Business Solutions family. By the time the product was rebranded Microsoft Dynamics NAV in 2003 and became more popular in the United States, the NCA Dynamics team had already acquired more experience and expertise than most other NAV resellers and developers.
