NCA Tanzania works to strengthen civil society, promote peace, and foster social cohesion through a strong interfaith network reaching from village to national levels. By partnering with local communities, religious leaders, and civil society organizations, we empower Tanzanians to engage in active citizenship, demand accountability, and contribute to sustainable development. Since establishing a country office in Dar es Salaam in 2006, NCA Tanzania has been dedicated to creating positive social change and addressing key issues such as economic justice, gender equality, and climate-smart development. Through programs in Climate Smart Economic Empowerment, Fighting Inequality, and Gender-Based Violence, we prioritize empowering youth, women, and other marginalized groups, equipping them with tools and knowledge to improve their livelihoods and advocate for their rights. NCA Tanzania also collaborates with local partners on humanitarian preparedness and response, bridging the gap between immediate relief and long-term development. In regions like Dodoma, Kigoma, and Manyara, we target the most vulnerable communities, particularly rural women and youth, with initiatives that promote inclusive development and resilience. Together with our partners in the ACT Alliance, we respond to crises effectively and uphold human dignity, rights, and resilience. Our commitment to Tanzania is rooted in over six decades of experience working with faith-based actors across the globe, with a mission to foster peace, justice, and dignity for all.
