The National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals (NCBMP), founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization dedicated primarily to the training needs of Black meeting professionals and all humans who support equity. NCBMP is committed to providing professional development, leadership training and enhancing the meetings, conferences and conventions managed by our members.
The National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals holds an annual educational conference. Through programs and special workshop sessions, conducted at the meetings, the organizations strive:
To assist in the educational advancement of association executives, meeting planners and other meeting professionals through the information shared at conferences.
To enhance the professional status of Black association executives, meeting planners and all meeting professionals by providing educational opportunities in support of the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) examination.
To stimulate managerial opportunities in the hospitality industry for our members.
To develop a network in the hospitality industry for Black association executives, meeting planners, suppliers and all humans. The network is set up to facilitate job referrals, exchange lists of consultants and vendors, and share other resources.
To educate youth for the purpose of helping them to obtain careers in the hospitality industry.
