في الأول من ديسمبر لعام 2016 صدر عن حضرة صاحب الجلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة عاهل البلاد المفدّى حفظه الله ورعاه المرسوم رقم (84) بإنشاء وتنظيم مركز الاتصال الوطني.
يتبع هذا الصرح الوطني الذي يعمل على توحيد الخطاب الإعلامي الحكومي وفق منهجية عمل واضحة ودعائم اتصال حديثة، بإطار مؤسسي من خلال منصّات متعددة، إلى مدير عام مكتب رئيس مجلس الوزراء.
يسلّط المركز الضوء على قصّة البحرين ورؤيتها الطموحة للمستقبل، ومسيرتها النموذجية في التنمية الشاملة من خلال منظومة اتصال هادفة وبنّاءة.
