The National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS) is an organization officially related to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). We serve as an advisory committee to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
NCCS provides guidance and structure for the integration of Catholic teaching into BSA programs at parishes and Catholic schools nationwide, recognizing that Catholic Scouting is a form of Youth Ministry. Guided by the USCCB’s Secretariat on the Laity and Family Life, we work closely with Catholic organizations, such as the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), to provide faithful and useful Church-sanctioned programming and guidance to Catholic Scouting units.
