The NCWQ is a group of affiliated organisations and associations in Queensland. The NCWQ gives a stronger voice to women on issues of common concern, to inform and encourage discussion among women, to formulate policies and to make submissions to government and other bodies.
Within the NCWQ there are a number of portfolios covering various sectors, all related in some way to the issues of women. Each portfolio area has a State Advisor to monitor that topic and provide quarterly reports to the NCWQ and National Advisors of the NCWA.
The NCWQ is a state branch of the National Council of Women Australia (NCWA), affiliated with the International Council of Women (ICW).
