New Directions in the American Landscape (NDAL) is a Pennsylvania-based organization that provides regional & national educational programming dedicated to the art, culture, and science of ecology-based landscape design. Founded by Landscape Designer Larry Weaner in 1990, NDAL provides landscape designers, landscape architects, horticulturists, gardeners, planners, and others with a rich framework for understanding the full extent of what’s possible and required by ecology-based landscape design.
