TransAfrican Development Inc. DBA Ndando House, seeks to be a model for interactive counseling through the use of creative and artistic methods to booster self empowerment; to give adults a fighting chance in living a mentally healthy lifestyle and encourage them to appreciate a meaningful focus in life. We wish to create a motivational aid for adults through positive messages within the culture and to accurately represent their view of the world, behavior, and style of communication. We are contracted with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services Commission (TDHHS), to provide Provider Agency services for seriously and persistently mentally ill adults enrolled in the Home and Community Based Services - Adult Mental Health program. As a Provider Agency, once a person elects to use our services, we coordinate with the Recovery Management Entity to fulfill the terms of the Provider Agency's Provider Agreement. We provide all services in the HCBS-AMH service array other than Recovery Management and are active participants in the process of our clients' recovery.
