In 1883, Nathan Morrison began farming through the Homestead Act, developing land into productive farm ground. Frank Nathan Morrison expanded farming and cattle operations over his lifetime. Today, generations three, four, and five (W. Dwight, Frank C., and Brett Morrison, along with their families) own the original Homestead parcel and additional land. They use center pivot irrigation on all farms to ensure consistent, high-quality products. Frank C. Morrison incorporated Nebraska Popcorn, Inc. in 1982. After raising popcorn for other companies, he sought direct customers for better processing. His commitment to quality and value helped grow the company into one of the largest popcorn producers in the United States, with the Morrison Farms brand reaching over sixty countries. Frank C. Morrison and Morrison Farms entered the popcorn industry as contract growers in 1970. In 1985, they started processing and packaging under the Morrison Farms label. Our privately owned company has expanded its popcorn product line while maintaining a focus on quality, personal service, and competitive prices.
