Why Neckstamper? - Not a literal meaning - but looking to London’s rich brewing history. Neck-stamper was the slang term given to the pot boy at an ale-house in the 1700s. The neck-stamper’s job was to collect the empty bottles or tankards previously sent out to private homes - “stamping” around the streets with the empties strung around his “neck”.
