At NEDC, we provide person centred (outcome focused) day care and support for people living in the North East Edinburgh area whose lives have been affected directly or indirectly by dementia.
We aim to support people with dementia to live in their own home for as long as possible, delaying or avoiding the need for residential care, while also providing support to carers.
We utilise a holistic approach to care, covering physical, emotional and practical needs. On going consultation also considers all aspects of health and wellbeing, as well as taking members needs and desires into account.
At NEDC we provide 3 services; our ‘Day Care Service’ for people aged over 65 with a diagnosis of dementia, our ‘Young Onset Service’ for people aged under 65 with a diagnosis of dementia and our ‘Time for Carers Service.’
