Needlab

Needlab is a design research organization aimed at solving sustainability issues for communities using human-centred design strategies. We stand by the motto for the people, by the people, of the people and we are of the opinion design is responsible for making lives better. With the ideology of “think global, act locally”, we focus on unveiling new ways of creating a dialogue between local materials, social customs, cultural heritage, and the environment. Our mission is to research, build, advocate for dignity in design and self-sufficiency in communities. We aim to promote sustainability by sourcing materials locally and empowering people through skill development.
