Founded in 1920 as a mechanical industry, though devoted to a totally different kind of production (mainly equipment for the furniture industry), Negri Fratelli started the manufacture of stainless and carbon steel ball valves with its trademark “NFG” in the early ‘60s.
The company is located in the northwest of Italy (Grignasco, Novara), the heart of a region traditionally dedicated to the mechanical industry.
Through the years, Negri Fratelli has acquired considerable experience in various fields, for instance: the chemical and petrochemical industry, hydraulics, industrial plants; and has then specialized in gas distribution as well as the district heating field.
Besides the traditional three-pieces, en-bloc, and wafer valve types; the core of our valve range is the fully welded ball valve: launched in the early ‘80s in conjunction with the expansion of the gas market in Italy, and designed specifically for the above-mentioned applications.
The company quality system was rigorously implemented in compliance with the standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and certified by DNV – Det Norske Veritas - who has also certified NFG ball valves’ compliance to the 2014/68/EU Directive (PED) and 2014/34/EU Directive (ATEX); while API - American Petroleum Institute - examined and certified their compliance to the API 6D standard.
