Jumanne's business was born out of a desire to provide for his four family members and care for his sick grandmother, embodying the true spirit of entrepreneurship that powers the African continent. Africa is a vibrant landscape of innovation and drive, hosting over 50 million entrepreneurs who contribute immensely to the economy, making up more than 80% of the GDP and workforce. These entrepreneurs are the backbone of their communities, often starting businesses that offer not just goods and services, but hope and support to the people around them. However, the journey is fraught with challenges. Like many of his peers, Jumanne faces the harsh statistic that 80% of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Africa do not survive past their fifth year. This loss transcends individual failure; it reverberates through families and communities that depend on these businesses for livelihood and inspiration. At Nemobase we are deeply committed to changing this narrative. Our goal is to empower 5 million African entrepreneurs like Jumanne to not only survive but thrive.
