Neonatal Diagnostics Ltd is working with the Neonatal Brain Research Group in University College Cork which has developed an automated seizure detection system which can automatically predict and detect the incidence of brain seizures in new born babies. It does this in real time thus minimizing the risk of undetected seizures resulting in chronic conditions. The system can be deployed in existing Neonatal Intensive Care Units on existing systems to enhance neonatal care. We have assembled a team of clinicians, engineers, software developers and regulatory professionals to bring the automated seizure detection system to market. We are currently in the process of rating EEG Recordings from Neonates. The ratings are being carried out by world renowned Neonatal Neurophysiologists. The outcome of their work will be used to validate the algorithm.
