National Education Trust Jamaica

National Education Trust Limited (NET) is the agency of the Government of Jamaica that mobilises financial and quality resource investments for schools in Jamaica to achieve greater levels of access to education and learning. As a registered charitable organisation and a public company limited by guarantee, NET is staffed by a team of competent and highly experienced managers, administrators and technical professionals, who are known for excellence in service delivery and their shared passion for nation-building. The Trust is governed by an equally reputable Board of top professionals from the public and private sectors that is accountable to the Minister of Education. The Board of Directors provides the strategic leadership that enables NET to fulfill its mandate as an independent, transparent and highly responsive organization to local and international donors and a growing clientele of beneficiaries and other stakeholders. Since its inception in 2010, NET has developed a track record for efficiency and adherence to quality standards, to the satisfaction of both donors and beneficiaries alike, who require effective coordination and cost-effective delivery of projects. NET is, therefore, the focal point for investment and philanthropic contributions designed to bring transformative impact to the education sector, especially by the enthusiastic Jamaican Diaspora which consistently supports education initiatives and projects. NET is committed to working with philanthropic individuals and organisations to ensure that under-served areas in the education system seamlessly benefit from their generosity and goodwill. NET acts as the implementing authority for education infrastructure projects funded by bilateral loans and grants from the international donor community. The Trust also coordinates and facilitates funding for other educational development resources.
